We’ve put together this quick explanation of the Amazon Vendor management structure. It’s based on our experience of working with Vendor central Amazon accounts at many different stages of their trading relationship.
As vendor businesses grow, they are able to access different levels of Amazon vendor management contact. These come with varying levels of support and some of the support has an associated price tag. This explainer video demystifies the Vendor central account progression and explains what to expect at each stage. The process begins with a new Vendor Manager who manages your onboarding. Next you may experience a period of Mass Vendor Management (also known as RBS). Growing and larger businesses may then become part of the Vendor Support Program (VSP or even the Stellar program (VSP+). A more established vendor central Amazon business may be offered a Market Vendor Manager which may be enhanced by a Market AVS (Amazon Vendor Service/services). International businesses may require a Pan EU AVS or even a global AVS service.
The level of support and contact you are prepared to pay is often a part of your Amazon Vendor Negotiation (AVN), and the Joint Business Planning process (JBP). You can find out more about how the responsibilities and accountabilities of the supplier, vendor manager, AVS and an agency such as MinsterFB relate to one another in the AVS section of this article.
