Anyone supplying Amazon needs to know about Amazon Freight, one of many options for the physical delivery of stock into Amazon Fulfilment Centres (FCs). However, you may not be aware that Amazon Freight can also provide shipping for deliveries beyond the Amazon network. Nathan Higgs recently ran an Insight Session for MinsterFB clients to run through the key selling points of Amazon Freight. He has kindly agreed that we can also share these more broadly with those interested in Amazon fulfilment.
The service was originally established to move products between Amazon FCs, facilitating the next day Prime Delivery service we enjoy today. Once the network was established, they began to utilise the return journeys to bring product into the FCs. From there grew the more expansive service that is available today.
Amazon Freight has many unique selling points. One of these is a commitment that if you use their service to send product into the Amazon FCs, they will take on responsibility for any delays, or chargebacks incurred from delays. They are able to move loads of different sizes and can also move stock across Europe.
