Anyone supplying Amazon will want to understand more about Amazon Freight, one of many options for the physical delivery of stock. However, you may not be aware that Amazon Freight can also provide shipping for deliveries beyond the Amazon network. Nathan Higgs recently ran an Insight Session for MinsterFB clients to take them through the key selling points of Amazon Freight. He has kindly agreed that we can share these more broadly with those interested in Amazon fulfilment.
The service was originally established to move products between Amazon Fulfilment Centres (FCs) in order to enable the next day Prime Delivery service we enjoy. To improve efficiency, they started to look at utilising the return journeys to bring product into the Fulfilment Centres, and from there grew the more expansive service that is available today.
Amazon Freight has many unique selling points, including a commitment that if you use their service to send product into the Amazon FCs, they will take on responsibility for any delays or chargebacks incurred from delays. They are also able to move stock across Europe.
